The methodology of anthropological intervention – an article about a research and studies on the field will be in five parts – part 4.

From part 3.

The new socio-anthropologist can heal issues, solve problems and plan interventions that will help, guide the activities of their group and not alone. Operations, they, who are usually entrusted to persons who possess knowledge and inadequate summary.

The methodology of anthropological intervention shows clearly how an aseptic in which individuals are viewed from a purely subjective often leads to inconsistencies “unexpected” articulated in concrete reality. The answers that a person or persons preparing the administration of stimuli induced in experimental situations provide data or at least valuable in selected readings.

The same situation again when we presume to be able to lay the foundations for the operational phase, setting up the foundations of the plan on the answers provided by data that have been reported with incomplete methodological techniques. They reflect only the quantity of appearance, which limits not only the answers but especially the preparation techniques of data collection. Such techniques for detection, moreover, are now extremely invasive almost straightjackets in respect of the entities concerned.

Interventions that once could be considered valid solutions, today seems a little reductive and scientific value, partly because they are used, often with too little light from players or unilaterally competent authorities, but especially with the mere intent to collect quantitative. The cornerstone of an ethnic group cannot  and must not in the twenty-first century being trapped in the pages of manuals to train specialized archives that support research and methodologies ends in themselves, ready to produce a large amount of data very often not accurate and not useful for a concrete action on the ground.

Religion, beliefs, practices and customs, as well as the laws and everything that constitutes the social culture and organization of an ethnic group is a melting pot of information and knowledge from which you cannot  draw if you do not want to operate between people and within them. Research must become an effective and useful tool, capable of producing valid and useful tools with which to implement projects. The primary objective would be, according to the above, to create solutions and train operators who are able to intervene in the multidimensional reality of daily life.
